Topic: 3ds consoles discontinued?

since Corona virus the 3ds console's have been eerily sold out everywhere. does this mean the end of the 3ds consoles being produced or is it just a roadblock do you figure?

I don't think Nintendo will produce anymore consoles, so I think they're going out of stock forever now.

@Jarester 3ds consoles were discontinued. As fars as I've seen, only 2ds xl's were still being produced. Since the outbreak 2ds xl production status seems to be unknown.

well seemed like they were just discontinuing right now so I thought i'd ask. I know the regular 3ds were discontinued but I mainly meant the 2ds, non xl specifically. I have wanted one for a long time but always put it off figuring I'd know if they stopped making them well ahead of time so Im trying to make sure here.
seems like the 2ds wasnt going anywhere soon but now maybe its going for good?

@Jarester The 3DS/2DS line has been going for 9 years, can't say I'm surprised. But if you can't find one new, you could always grab a used one off Ebay or from another re-seller. There's a lot of them floating around right now.

yea of course I suppose used is a option. I did sell my original 3ds xl and barely used it was great condition. I didnt want any games that were out after pokemon Y so I sold it. Now I just want the newer games, samus returns & LoZ OoT and MM. no way to tell I guess when 2ds will be gone

Maybe you could make an Amazon wishlist and add all the 2DS models and colors you can find, then check it periodically to see if they become available.

They usually sell quickly, but stock does appear from time to time.
