My 3DS could play DS games well before but I tried a couple recently and they some time freezes, I can play 3DS perfectly and any other game, but it's just the DS games getting affected, did this happen to any of you?
PS: the DS games are in perfect condition.

The older they get, the less reliable they get unfortunately. I pop my Mario Kart DS from back in 04 into my 3DS from time-to-time for nostalgia's sake, and I have to devote an entire ritual to getting it to work.

My Mario Party DS card was wonky ever since I got it (used), but now it is extremely finicky... if I even accidentally just barely bump it while it's playing, it'll freeze... but I don't think it has anything to do with my 3DS, it's just an old game card.

I have played Mario 64 DS, which is a launch title for DS, on my 3ds and it runs completly fine

in my 3DS the only problem is the usual: DS games get ugly(er) unless you hold start what reduces the image a little too much....

Well, I did notice that DS games looked a lot better on my DSi than they did my original 3DS... but when I got my 3DS XL, that ran them best. IMO

Weird because I play my old ds games now and they work well. I did have 64 DS freeze once but it now runs fine.

After so long...I'm back. Don't ask why
