Just popping in to say HP rock is superior on serperior than Fire. (Pun intended)
Rock hit's flying types such as thundurus, talonflame on switch, charizard, Tornadus-T etc etc..
The only thing fire hits is Scizor and Ferrothorn, which with a heatran or better yet magnezone paired with serperior is pretty much taken care of. Everything else can't switch in. If heatran is an issue, well, dugtrio can get that job done fairly well. Basicly alot of trappers to support serperior.
Assuming this is in a singles format.
The offensive movepool is lack luster but not too bad.. it's support movepool is really huge though offering duel screens, taunt, glare, and other goodies.
I thought about rock, but with the exception of Talonflame and Charizard, a 130 base power STAB Leaf storm hits harder on flyers who resist x2 than HP rock base power 60 super effective x2? I think. Plus, I wouldn't stay in on a Talonflame even after a boost because of Gale Wings.
And I was think HP Fire would help deal with the slew of grass poison types that x4 resist Leaf storm? Assuming you hit them with Leaf storm on the switch, a +4 HP Fire would be a nasty surprise for them.

It really depends on whether you want to hit heatran, talonflame, or charizard then. Ground vs. rock hidden powers for those quad resist. Rock would atleast still hit some of these things nuetrally while killing others, fire is easy to handle with team support, and ice is.. meh, dragonite would be the only thing since lando doesn't stomache leaf storm either. It's worth noting only at +2 you can OHKO scizor/ferro with HP fire and risk gyro ball, or bullet punch.

Yeah, I don't think there's a danger of Serperior being an unstoppable force, but should be fun to play with anyway.
