Topic: 2016 Nintendo Directs Discussion - September 1st 3DS Direct Confirmed!

I too want Rhythm Heaven...seriously, if it isn't localized, I am going to be sad.

Nintendo UK is promoting both Xenoblade X and Mario Tennis Ultra Smash on twitter today, think maybe they won't be in the Direct?

They'll probably just get brief mentions like "hey guys these games are coming out very soon, be excited" and leave it at that.

That's what I'm expecting for all of the remaining 2015 titles to be honest. 2016 titles and DLC/updates for already released titles will take up most of the time.

If they're going by Iwata's definition of a Nintendo Direct, none of the known 2015 Wii U games will be covered. The point of the Nintendo Direct is to give new information directly to the player. Xenoblade X was released half a year ago in Japan, and the English dub has been covered pretty well during the past weeks. Animal Crossing: amiibo party is released this Friday in the US.

The only possible known 2015 game IMO would be if some of the games will get updates we currently don't know about. For example: GameXplain speculated about a Splatoon-like drip of free content for Mario Tennis, since the initial release is so bare bones.

There's a somewhat believable leak going around that this will be one of the worst Nintendo Directs.... I don't even wanna post it. It's so bad yet incredibly believable.

Darn it. I'm going to be in school when the Direct comes on. I'm going to have work hard to avoid spoilers.

The only thing that would make it the worst Direct ever is if they don't mention Animal Crossing amiibo Festival at all, which is highly unlikely. It would probably be considered one of the best Directs if it did nothing but focused completely on amiibo Festival

Besides, the Shovel Knight stuff is just pulled directly from what Liam Robertson said. I'm not even sure if his lead is accurate at this point.

Funny how every loser on /v/ seems to have all the details of every Direct, but only shortly after they are publicly announced.

@cookiex: Clearly fake because of the amiibo section, namely there is no more disc characters left to get an amiibo. Falco's plans have already been announced so that leaves Ryu, Roy and Lucas (DLC characters).
