Yet another trailer has dropped for the upcoming Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX on Nintendo Switch, and this time we're treated to a closer look at the gameplay we can expect to enjoy.
The clip shows off some of the questions you'll answer at the beginning of your journey to see which Pokémon you'll become, some small snippets of footage inside the dungeons themselves, and also the odd cutscene or two featuring some larger-than-life Pokémon you'll meet on your adventure - including the Legendary Pokémon, Groudon.
The game is launching exclusively for Switch on 6th March. Two other trailers were released for the game just last week, and The Pokémon Company also recently shared a list of tips for those new to the series.
Not long to go!

ree spoiling I only play the old version never beat it aa
@ShinyUmbreon You don't have to read anything here or watch the video.
This game looks so cool, I'm buying it now. It's so cute.
We got both PMD:RTDX and AC:NH coming out next month.
I'm gonna sound stingy but I'm honestly legitimately wondering why we haven't had a Direct yet.
Oh well, March finna be lit probably.
Wasn’t really feeling the demo, I think I’ll pass on this.
@mesome713
Go try the demo first.
‘Pokemon’ and ‘Fresh Gameplay’
are not compatible word combinations.
@Investor9872 The demo is good. I've been playing it and Cat Quest II today. Can't wait for this game.
I'd like to know what's new in the DX version besides the remade graphics
I'm on the fence. But it looks charming.
This game looks like it plays itself.
I played Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time, and that version was enjoyable, but grindy. It took a while to get good enough stats to tackle some dungeons. Sometimes, enemies would pretty much one-shot me, dealing massive amounts of damage and ruin a good run. The most fun things about the game were moving to avoid dangerous encounters and conserving moves. Both of those things are pretty much obsolete now that there is no default move that doesn't cost PP and because 'auto' and pushing Pokemon you move towards lessen your mobility in fights. What if you're weak and stuck in a corridor across from an enemy that counters your type after using auto? Your two options are to fight and risk dying or push your partner(s) all the way to the other end of the corridor. Let's not forget that the game picks your moves as well. From the perspective of someone who has played Pokemon Mystery Dungeon before, I don't recommend playing this game. You can get a DS and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games on Ebay for cheaper and have more fun with them.
@BuckeyeNerd
You can turn off auto and select all your moves yourself.
If you were avoiding enemy encounters, it's no wonder you found the game grindy. I played the games beating just about everything I came across and never once had to grind. Items that inflict status elements were also plentiful in explorers and they pretty much removed the threat of higher level enemies.
@BuckeyeNerd Also from the perspective of someone who has played Pokémon Mystery Dungeon before, exploring dungeons is far less tedious than trying to grind levels in the mainline games. The new auto mode is optional, so for a truer Mystery Dungeon experience I wouldn’t recommend using it. The upgraded graphics and mechanics will breath new life into the franchise while returning to the series’s roots. Anyone who also has a DS and is off put by the $60 price tag could instead get the still great Blue Rescue Team and Explorers of Sky, but this new entry has cleared several of the faults that plagued the 3DS PMD games, while still upgrading the series for a new generation.
I personally would love this kind of art style implemented in a mainline Pokemon entry. The brushwork shading is brimming with charm.
@mesome713 That's funny, because my wife just finished Cat Quest today. I've been waiting for Cat Quest II to go on sale. I'm glad you liked the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon demo. Cheers.
