Platforming fans don't have long to wait before Jet Kave Adventure, a game inspired by none other than the Donkey Kong Country series, leaps onto Nintendo Switch.
Ahead of the big release, the team has been kind enough to send us a batch of new and exclusive screenshots. We thought it'd be rude to keep them all to ourselves, so feel free to get a good look at them in the images below.
Just last month, we sat down with the fine folk at game developer 7Levels to chat all about that Donkey Kong inspiration and much more besides. If you'd like to learn more it, make sure to check that out right here.
The game comes out on 17th September. Will you be trying it out?

I hope it reviews well. It looks cool but I still haven't got round to Tropical Freeze yet so that's first on my list
ill keep my eye out on this since a new dk-esque game would b nice...
Bit too 'inspired by' for my liking. The proof is in the pudding though.
@Lordplops Did you watch the gameplay? I mean, the similarities are obvious (animations, enviros except the alien staff) but the second-to-second gameplay with the emphasis on jetpack moves tells me it can be its own thing.
interesting gameplay! i dismissed it when i saw the thumbnail on the eshop, glad i saw this.
I'm hyped for this one. I hope reviews are good and gameplay mechanics are cool. I think it's gonna be a hit (more than a miss)
@Lordplops the new Yooka Laylee is closer to DKC than this. There are more notable differences in the mechanics than the headlines let on.
I was into this until a saw some raw gameplay footage that hadn't edited and cut into a slick looking trailer. The raw footage looked really unpolished. I hope it reviews well, though! I'd love to have some more DKCR inspired platforming in my life
Edit: Oops. I just watched the raw gameplay embedded in this article and it looks great hahah. I'm looking forward to it again!
This looks kinda whatever if I am honest
Looks okay if a tad noisy. imo a level in a platformer should revolve around 2 mechanics tops, but the ones here have 4-5 or more hazards to navigate through
Would be curious to know if it's the developers pushing this 'a la DKC' angle, because it doesn't look anything like it to me.
This game has gotten a significant push here on Nintendo Life. Hope it doesn’t suck.
Developer is paying big money for this site to pretend this is going to be good. Article after article. It looks bad.
@Franklin its seems more like Nintendolife doing the devs a 'favor'.
@brandonbwii Reviews should roll out soon, so we will have our answers
@Fake-E-Lee Every great journey starts with a single step. Good luck.
@Fake-E-Lee @Shiryu Neeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrdsssss.
Ahem Sorry. I look forward to your review.
@Fake-E-Lee Someone has to keep you grounded.
@Fake-E-Lee Well shoot. I'm sorry brother. I hope today gets better for you.
@Fake-E-Lee That's the right attitude man. You got this. You ever need anything, hit me up. I got a good ear, and I've seen some stuff.
@Fake-E-Lee Sounds promising. The embargo should lift any hour now, right?
@Fake-E-Lee Great, thanks for the link! But what about a Nintendo Life review?
