If you're a keen Pokémon GO player, you may well be excited for Niantic's next release, Harry Potter: Wizards Unite. Just like Pokémon GO, this new app is a real-world AR game, but this time set in the magical world of J. K. Rowling's hugely popular series.

Niantic is giving players the chance to reserve their Pokémon GO nicknames for the new game, and we've got all the steps you need right here:

(1) Go to Niantic's reservation portal.

(2) Click on 'Use my Pokémon GO Trainer Nickname'. You’ll be asked to log in to your Pokémon GO account using Google, Facebook, or Niantic Kids. If you have a Pokémon Trainer Club account, you can link to your Facebook or Google account in order to reserve your Code Name in Harry Potter: Wizards Unite. You can also use your Ingress Agent Name.

(3) You’ll be able to reserve your current Pokémon GO Trainer Nickname in Harry Potter: Wizards Unite if it’s available.

Niantic notes that your Trainer Nickname may overlap with someone else's Agent Name in Ingress Prime. In this scenario, reservations will be first come, first served. Also, this isn't an opportunity to select a brand new name just yet - this is for old name reservations only.
