Lucky Mountain Games has revealed that Racing Apex is coming to the Nintendo Switch.

Taking inspiration from early arcade 3D racers such as Virtua Racing and Winning Run, Racing Apex adds in combat elements which makes it look and feel a little like Activision's cult hit Interstate '76 - which is no bad thing at all.

Founded in 2010 by former EA, Sony London and Rockstar London 3D artist Trevor Ley, Lucky Mountain Games has previously worked with other game studios and has recently taken on new staff to assist with Racing Apex's development.

Racing Apex was previously confirmed for the Wii U, and we've seen some other projects shift from Nintendo's current console to the as-yet-be-released Switch. Refreshingly, Lucky Mountain insists that the Wii U version is still happening:
