The Sheraton Grande Ocean Resort in Miyazaki, Japan is holding a special Pokémon interactive attraction which involves finding monsters around the resort and recording them in a special "book" (which, in reality, is a tablet computer).
Dubbed "Eevee and the Mysterious Book", the event is booked by parents when they plan to stay at the hotel, and begins when special invitations are posted out to their kids prior to checking in. Using a variety of images which are "read" by the tablet and special interactive stations with their own screens, the aim is to collect various Pokémon and catalogue them in the book.
The video below shows the kind of things you can get up to during this attraction. It looks like the perfect hotel stay for Pokémon fans, and the official Q&A page - which is hilarious when translated into English via Google Chrome - says it's also fine for pregnant women, as "there is no content to move violently body". Always good to know.

This is just too cute.
This looks cool! I forgot the name of it, but this reminds me of the little quest thing they had at the Great Wolf Lodge. Though I have no idea if it's still there or not.
Oh my gosh... Pokemon themed hotel ? (Towew.....)
That big books basically IPad with Pokemon apps.
Scan the QR codes alike and bring it to life.
Or even watching 3D hologram Pokemons.
Nice idea but still ... I'm speechless.
Imagine finding Muk under the pillow
Oh my God... Why did I see "Love Hotel" in the headline for a moment, before I took a better look at it?
PSA: Codes for Mew were sent out today in the Trainer newsletter and Manaphy is available via Internet Mystery Gift for North America.
@PlywoodStick lol, I thought the same thing.
This looks really cool...only in Japan.
@PlywoodStick: Your misreading may hold some traction if there are Skitty pillows and Wailord comforters.
@riChchestM That only happens in cheap hotels.
LOL! Whoever came up with that during 3rd gen has a sick mind! ...Or a size difference fetish?
Seems cool, but how come when Pikachu is used in a more marketed-focused way, he has a much more simplified and deformed design compared to the games/anime? It bugs me.
Also, in Japan is it more often called Pokemon or Poketto Monsutā? I hear a lot of both, but more recently more of the former.
@Seacliff Pocket Monster is only used in the game titles now. Right off the bat the games will say "it's abbreviated as Pokemon" and use the term Pokemon for the rest of the games. Everything else (card games, merch, events...), just Pokemon.
