they gave no reasons for disliking it. All they said was that the graphics were bad (its a downloadable game, what did you expect? halo?) And that it has bad gameplay (even though you play it the same as Metriod prime 3). they seem to only hate it because it doesn't have real guns to blast your opponents vital organs out with while yelling "F@#& YEAH, B&#^$!!!

Either way, my point was that the review looks like the "reviewer" just took the IGN one, rewrote it a bit while leaving many phrasings identical, added some anti-Wii comments and gave it a lower score. Seriously, the order in which the things are mentioned is the same, many expressions are the same, even the mistakes are identical.
I mean, seriously:

Kids will find it very interesting to play for about an hour, but they will lose interest quickly because to be frank it’s not Halo! So GamePro likes to compare EVERY FPS to Halo. I wouldn't be surprised if they hate The Conduit with this horrible mindset. BOTH of the reviews are horrible. @Chrono Cross-Water Warfare may not be as good as The Conduit,but it is very fun. You do not know what you are mssing!
And just try and get your head around this scornful, self-contradicting mind-bender: Water Warfare is for the kids, and rightfully so for the system it’s on. But with the 800 point price tag this is way too high a price to pay for mediocre gameplay and visuals. You assume its plagiarizing but you have no proof that this is the case. Its the same game and maybe the reviewer at GamePro has the same opinion as the IGN reviewer on this game hmm?
@S.Sonic I`m not missing out on anything. WW doesn`t grab my attention and anyway I`m too crazy when it comes to FPSs.

He DOESN'T have the same oppinion but he DOES have the same text. Well, nearly. Seriously, read both reviews and look at the order of subjects and the phrasings used. Why would two people independently use the same phrasings and same order of subjects? IGN cites the same example items as GamePro despite there being many more in the game. Both call Assault capture the flag but GamePro goes a step further and says it should be called CTF which is WRONG because Assault is NOT CTF, it's Assault as it was introduced in Unreal Tournament in 1999. IGN phrased it badly I assume because the goal is marked with a flag but GamePro actually comments using the assumption that Assault = CTF. There are 38 missions in the game (this number is spelled out in all promo material) but IGN claims 40 and GamePro claims over 40. If GamePro had directly copypasta'd text it would be conceivable that the reviewer just wanted to save some time by not typing it out again but he actually took the time to change the text and introduced mistakes that only a person could make who has never played the game or even read the manual.
Okay,IGN's reviewers are just being jerks. Quote: I mean, you can give a dog turd to a monkey and the poor thing might just eat it, but that doesn't change the fact that it's a dog turd. All you need is a quick whiff of Water Warfare's archaic control setup (slow, unresponsive), its ancient graphics (blurry, sluggish) and it all-too basic level designs (point, shoot, run, repeat) and you'll find yourself involuntarily wincing at the foul flavor of it all. I was certain the game was 500 Wii Points, and even that would be overpriced. At 800, it's offensive. What a jerk!
I see it as a case where the GamePro reviewer has played too many FPS to actually have a little fun with them. This game is cute, playful, fun, and cheap. Comparing this game to Halo? Gimme a freakin' break. I wish Hudson included a douche bottle weapon in the game 'cause I'd slpash that sh!t all over him.
Did these guys even play this game? From the sounds of it all they saw was the screen shots and decided they did not like it. With all these crazy reviews I'm glad I'm able to visit a site like Nintendo Life.where they actually play the games.
