I am relatively new to the whole Wii U console. Is it worth buying the N64 games on the Wii virtual console? I did some asking on google and came across articles claiming some N64 games will be remade for Wii U. But nothing concrete. I also found some articles claiming N64 games were coming to eShop. But nothing concrete. Bah! I don't know what to do. Could Nintendo please tell their customers what is going on!!!!

Well, the ReUmagined series was only ever a rumor, Nintendo never said anything about it. But they DID promise N64 and Gamecube VC back at launch and have said absolutely nothing about it. Nevermind they also promised DS games on the wii u and that hasn't even happened in North America yet.

Nintendo offers people that have purchased Wii VC games to pay a lot less for Wii U versions when they are released. Currently for NES games people that own the Wii VC version only have to pay $1 while for SNES they pay $1.50, if they continue this trend and actually release N64 games on Wii U VC then you will probably pay $2 for the Wii U upgrade. Personally, I wouldn't worry to much about your money being wasted, the games are a lot of fun and just because you buy the Wii VC version doesn't mean you have to buy the Wii U VC version later.
*FYI You will need a Wii Classic Controller with a Wii Remote to play N64 games on Wii VC
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...
