I am playing Paper Mario:The Thousand Year Door and I love it [I have played it before years ago,and didn't like it].
So,what do you think should be in the next Paper Mario game? I personally think we should see a deeper storyline and a much higher difficulty.

I think they should go back to the first 2 paper mario's formula.
I wouldn't mind a deeper storyline, but the difficulty was fairly hard for me atleast. (For a Mario Game!)
SuperSonic1990, wait to you fight the final boss at the ennd of TTYD, if you want difficulty!

I want it to be more like Super Paper Mario. I don't like the turn based games. I like the old school Mario feel.

I have already beaten TTYD years ago,and the final boss frighten me at the time. But,I'm older now,so the final boss shouldn't scare me at all. This is my second playthrough, and I wanted to beat some optional bosses [Bonetail and Atomic Boo].
I agree,Paper Mario 3 should not be similar to Super Paper Mario.

Paper Mario 3 should be turn-based just a deeper storyline, more weapons, a variety of playable characters and not so much chatting.
At best though Super Paper Mario was my favorite!

Just for you.

Definitely go back to the Paper Mario 1-2 formula. Improve upon it, add tons of partners, tons of attacks using the Wii remote motion/IR control, and a deeper (but still humorous) story.
