Hello,

I have a problem on my wii where every time I choose or select a map for super smash bros. brawl, it shuts down my wii and gives me a message saying an error has occurred. I can launch the game fine and select my characters, but there is always a problem when I choose my map. It is also a brand new and clean disk with no scratches. I also run project m but i always take the sd card out and it still does not work.
Can anyone tell me what the problem is? Why it keeps happening and if anyone has had it before.
Please help me

Try it on a different Wii if you can. If it works on another Wii, then it s a hardware issue having to do with your Wii not being able to read Brawl, as it's a thicker disk than a regular Wii game. There's no way to fix it to my knowledge.
.
If you have a Wii U and can bear with playing using wireless controlers, then try it on there.

I don't think it is a hardware issue because it works for every game BUT super smash bros. So I don't know what is going on

Super Smash Bros is one of few games that is double-layered. Wiis have been known to have problems with it

I believe you can send it into Nintendo and have them repair it unless they don't do that for Wiis anymore.

Then we know exactly what the issue is. Brawl uses a double layered disc and your Wii is having trouble reading it.

I know when I sent mine in a year or so ago for dual-layered problems, they repaired it for free.
