Topic: Wii U Froze while playing ZombiU (Randomly)

I know this is not a bug reporting forum, but I just wanted to share this as I want to see whether its a known problem or if it can be fixed.

I have an Australian Nintendo Wii U 32GB Premium Pack (Mario Kart 8) and I bought ZombiU from the Nintendo eShop (So its not a problem with a game CD being scratched or something), the game was installed on the internal system drive as I still haven't plugged my external hard drive to it.

When I was playing in Palace Underground map, I went and entered an Exit door that leads me to Victoria Memorial, and as soon as I used the door the red loading screen (Showing London map) showed for less than a second and froze, my gamepad's screen turned black and froze too, I waited but nothing happened until I forced the Wii U to power off.

When I started the game again, I went through the same door and it all went good, but the game seemed slow while loading (It would take up to 20 seconds to load places) but without FPS drops, so it might not be ZombiU related? After a few minutes, the game went all good again.

I have the latest Wii U OS/system software update [v5.1.2E].

Could it be an overheating problem? But the Wii U has a fan from the rear and the system uses 75W by maximum, so it shouldn't overheat that fast, should it?

Its pointless to report this to Ubisoft as they are soon going to abandon the Wii U, what do you say?

Is this the first UbiSoft game you have played?

The game is really good...but also extreamly buggy

ZombiU just contains a bunch of bugs.

If you haven't gotten far maybe you could delete the software and redownload it. Other than that, it just sounds like a glitch. I haven't experienced anything like that.

It froze on me the first time I ever played it.
