I enjoyed Samurai Warriors: Chronicles, so on the off chance I snag a U this year, I'll look into this (the more fantasy setting of this has me interested).

Also, I'm willing to bet Cho won't like a recent video Screw Attack put up on YouTube about "10 franchises that need to die", because they listed the "Warriors" series, saying that every single one (even the spin-offs) are just continuous "X" pressing. Needless to say, the video was horrible (and not just because of their view on "Warriors").

Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)

You know an idiot journalist hasn't played a Warriors game when they claim it's about mashing the 'X' button.

Because it's the square button for the basic attack, and triangle for powerful attack, and circle for musou attack.

X is jump. If they really are mashing the X button no wonder they're having a bad time.

And clearly haven't played it on a hard mode, where you need to block too.

Reminds me of the time the Gamespot "critic" slaughtered Samurai Warriors in a review, and spent over a paragraph explaining the story as being about the Three Kingdoms era.

The Three Kingdoms era was Chinese history. This was Samurai Warriors. On top of that his "Three Kingdoms" history was copy/ pasted straight from Wikipedia.

Thank God IGN is giving the Warriors games to people who appreciate them, at least.
