Topic: Perfect Place To Buy A Wii U

So I've been looking around for the best place to buy a Wii U. Amazon are selling the Premium Nintendo Wii for £200.00, Asda for £250.00 and Game for £300.00 but offer £60.00 for a 2 year gurantee if you drop the Wii U gamepad then they replace your console for nothing.

I'm only concerned because I have a 3 year old daughter who is intellegent enough to play video games but still doesn't realise not to throw things occasionaly. I'm a big Nintendo fan and want to share the Wii U with the little one so just looking for a second opinion really?

The warranty can be an issue. They will certainly replace the console if something breaks, but it would mean anything you bought digitally on the WiiU will be lost since as of yet there is no way to transfer purchases. Besides, if anything breaks, you can send it to Nintendo and they will repair it free within a year, or outside of that year for a small sum.

Yeah I have to agree with willobee on this one. I would just pass on the whole store warranty thing and if something should happen to your Wii U just send it to Nintendo for repairs. That way if they have to replace the system Nintendo can do a transfer of your digital stuff if you should get some. Other places may not do that and you might end up losing all your purchases.

Also just an idea here is that if your daughter still has the tendency to throw things maybe you should wait a little longer to introduce her to the Wii U. Either that or maybe play some games with here like Nintendo Land where she can use a Wiimote and you can keep a hold of the Gamepad.
