...Or maybe not.
Right, this shall no doubt be a most ludicrous thought to most, but it's worth a shot. How about an exclusive MMO on the Wii U? It's not totally impossible, but I suppose it's unlikely.
It would be nice, though, having some sort of World of Warcraft-ish online RPG to play on the console, or maybe a city-like MMO with other people round. Ponder on it, and graciously post your opinions, if any.
Let us not judge a man by the colour of his skin, but by the character he chooses to battle with in Brawl.

I think Nintendo are developing a Pokèmon Online of sorts for the Wii U, correct? Also, I think I saw Ghost Recon Online, now this is most likely not an MMO, but I thought I'd get that out there.

monster hunter isnt MMO at all, its an amazing multiplayer game, but not an MMO
well sony put DC universe online on the PS3, so it depends, i think for something like an MMO, it would either need to be nintendo made, or have a lot of support from nintendo, so its really up to nintendo if we get one, and judging from their past with online connectivity and stuff, it doesnt look good thoughthat said, the wii u's theme seems to be fixing the problems that nintendo historically has had lately, which could well include their online stuff

Well the Wiki site or whatever Capcom Unity made defines Frontier as a MMO....so, yeah.http://monsterhunter.wikia.com/wiki/Monster_Hunter_Frontier
Anyways, I've keep dreaming that there could be a game where you could play as the monsters as well as hunters.

well i actually dont know a lot about frontier, but im assuming it plays the same as the other games, where you only ever have a team of 4 going through a level at a time, and theres nothing 'massively multiplayer' about teams of 4 reallyits more along the lines of being a MOBA, which is a term used for games like league of legends and other games similar, where you take part in small teams in small session based games and battles
but in terms of support and upkeep, im guessing a full blown mmorpg probably requires a lot more than something like monster hunter, which is why i think nintendo would need to be making it, or rather heavily involved in it.i could be wrong about it though, im just making guesses really

As far as I can tell, the reason the Monster Hunter games are not considered to be MMOs is because there is no persistant world.
It's a very fine distinction, but it means a Monster Hunter game is really no different to any other game with a lobby system - it's just that Monster Hunter's lobby system is especially grand in scope.

MMOs on the Wii U are very possible, but I'm not sure about probable.
@JayceJa @WaltzElf FYI Monster Hunter Frontier is quite different from the other MH games. It operates similar to Phantasy Star Online. There is a persistent world and there can be more than 4 players in certain missions.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QeqS4YypSjc
I might add that MH3's lobby system only allows 4 players to meet at a time (10 in the JP version), which isn't particularly grand in scope. Besides Frontier, MH has never tried to be like an MMO.
