@Weekdays133 My guess is the ac adapter is failing/damaged(bad connection internally, or damaged cord). Going by your description, replacing your ac adapter may be your solution.The store.nintendo site still has them, i believe, if you can't find them locally.
If you want to ask someone, you can ask nintendo support via chat messenger or their phone line. But it's a failure with ac adapter, replacement will be their solution.
