Topic: The GameBoy Advance Thread

@ReaderRagfish It's mine from back in the day. It is possible I erased the save data myself years ago on a whim, or maybe while drunk one night in college and just don't remember. I am mostly wondering if something can cause it to happen again. I'd not want to be halfway through the game and have the save vanish.

Also it came back on the 10th. I meant to mention it to you but kept getting distracted. lol

Have you started Golden Sun yet? It’s sooo good. I bought it day of release but um, er, I’ve still not finished it. Was playing it yesterday tho, so maybe one day.

Golden Sun is a pretty decent game. I'm hoping to get to The Lost Age before too long; it has been quietly sitting in my Wii U's internal memory....

So it turns out there is definitely something wrong with my copy of Fire Emblem. There is no visible damage nor is there any obvious dirt on the connections, but it wont hold a save for more than a couple weeks. I have positively ancient saves on my original Advance Wars and FE Sacred Stones that date back to when those titles were new, but my original save for Fire Emblem was gone. I thought, maybe I was playing drunk one night in college and deleted it, so I made a new save and nope, a couple weeks go by and it vanishes again.

Well, I guess I will drop the rom file onto my Everdrive.

Same thing happened with my first copy of Harvest Moon Friends of Mineral Town.

It's sad when a game dies.

I want to play GBA games on either Retro Duo Portable or Supaboy SFC, since i can use Adapter to put inside GBA cartridge into SNES Cartridge adapter.
Which should i choose for Better Sound, Image display, Color Saturation ?

Is GBA first model are Loud enough & Bright enough than GBA SP ?
Because actually i want to play Famicom + SNES / S.Famicom + GBA in one machine with Portable Retro clones machine, as long still using Original cartridges.

@ReaderRagfish Unless it's a fake that Game Stop missed back in like 2004... Because this one isn't a recent purchase, I bought it from Game Stop back not that long after launch. It was used, but I mean, were people already making fakes that look good enough to fool GS? And the cartridge looks as authentic as I can determine.

I've asked before if the face that Fire Emblem (Blazing Sword or FE7 or whatever else you want to call it) auto-saves every single turn (making the Quit option completely redundant) would burn out the save memory chip faster than normal and people said they don't think so.

About GBA Cartridges storage.
Is there any box that can hold until 3 or 6 GBA cartridges from Ebay ?
If i use other box as alternative solution, what kind of box you think is fit enough ?

I have 27.
I think the only ones I have with batteries are Metroid Zero Mission and Kirby Nightmare In Dreamland.

If a game with a battery has an issue will it just totally not save or lose your save altogether? I have Zero Mission and beat it. Got to the Zero suit part of the game and stopped playing. Now when I go back to it it’s at my save before beating the game.
