Topic: Mario and Wario mouse question

Several websites say that the Japanese "Mario and Wario" game for SNES will work with a gamepad so I bought it on Ebay to use on my USA SNES (the system has been modded so that the cartridge will fit), I get to the character selection screen and the gamepad won't do anything.

Do you know if a mouse is needed even though you can play it with the gamepad? I don't have a mouse to plug into the second port...

Has anyone played it on a USA SNES?

Thanks,
Steve

Umm I am not 100% sure but I dont think we are suppose to be talking about modded systems on this site. So sorry I cant help here.

It's not modded to steal games, only to play a few import cartridges, the modification I'm talking about is simply breaking off the plastic tabs inside the SNES so that the cartridge will fit in the slot.

Never mind, the game requires a mouse, I read the walkthrough on the gamefaqs site (and several other places) where they say it also works with just a gamepad. That's wrong, I need the mouse.

If someone says they played it with a standard controller, they were playing a hacked version of the game.
