Well, I think I seen enough to know that this video doesn't know what its talking about, and tell us what we already know.
Nintendo loves money.

For you, the day LordJumpMad graced your threads, was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Tuesday.

pokemon won't have an MMO because everyone had already seen the failure of final fantasy in the MMO area(and pretty much every other known TurnBasedRPG franchise that tried it) so it could have only three realistic outcomes:

  • A complete failure that could kill the franchise by making people drop it forever
  • A complete success that could kill the franchise by making new pokemon games unnecessary and leaving Gamefreak bankrupt
  • the situation 2 plus monthly taxes needed to gamefreak avoid going bankrupt that would make people drop pokemon little by little until the franchise dies...
EDIT: resuming it the three possibilities for pokemon MMO are:
  • insta-death
  • suicide
  • death by poisoning

I'm just making logic predictions using info I have...... you know I have 99.999999999% of chance of being wrong but that 0.000000001% is the usual real margin of being right for marketing predictions(they are always wrong but the industry believes them because it's safer I've just stated what the industry thinks of MMOs, based on previously made ones, the ones based on big non-MMO franchises tend to fail, for example did you know there's a Shin Megami Tensei MMO? not many people know and the ones that know mostly don't know the SMT franchise....) I'm just making what my least favorite class at college forced me to, to think as an administrator of a big company.
EDIT:
plus I was being a realist guy being realistic is being pessimistic(that's why I normally avoid realism! )

No reason to take unnecessary risks when you already have a business model that works wonders.

well forget what I've said before.... with the 2DS(Dual Scream is indeed a fitting name) out the only thing that can save nintendo is pokemon MMO, they went to the point of no return so only madness can save it from its mad mistake.
EDIT I would delete this since it bothered some people but it was quoted so deleting is useless

As far as I know, Nintendo doesn't need to be "saved" by anything. The 2DS may or may not succeed; it could go either way.
Even if the 2DS does ultimately fail, I highly doubt that's enough to ruin Nintendo to the point of needing to be saved by a game that could possibly hurt the sales of future Pokemon games.

Cringing is really fun.

@EuphoriaX
I posted this in the day the 2DS was announced, I had freaked out that day. now I'm cool with it the 2DS is great for people who want it(and they're not me) and they're also good for streetpassers(me) I'll just delete that post if it's still bothering anyone

An MMO, absolutely not.

A full fledged, 3D, open world RPG though...

It's hard to free fools from the chains they revere.

No need to delete it, I doubt it's bothering anyone. I just wanted to throw my opinion on the subject out there.

Cringing is really fun.

my opinion now stands with my first post in this thread, I just forgot to remove the 2DS one as it's not my opinion anymore....
PLUS I don't want to bother anyone anymore unless it's in a funny way(I like joking around)

I don't want a full MMO, but it would be great to have better multiplayer where you can join other friend's worlds or a much more robust online combat system. Not to mention a revamped GTS, GTS negotiations was a huge disappointment.
