Topic: Nvidia Shield Handheld Gaming Console

I have been thinking of getting one, but the thing is, I don't know much about it. Is there anything I should know before I buy it?
Is there anything I should know that would detriment or reinforce my decision? Or any cool features I may not know about?

I got to use an Nvidia Shield for about a week and the controller felt really cheap in my hands. The touch screen was about as good as my Galaxy S3, but the controller was very cheap.

How well do most Steam games perform? I've seen some powerful games running smooth in gameplay videos.

I know absolutely nothing about Geforce... have you used it? How can I use it to connect between my laptop and Shield?
