Sean Aaron ~ "The secret is out: I'm really an American cat-girl." Q: How many physicists does it take to change a light bulb? A: Two, one to hold the light bulb, the other to rotate the universe.
My brother who has played the beta expressed some disappointment. He says it felt much like it was another expansion pack for the original (albeit with prettier graphics.) So I'm guessing if Starcraft is your favorite RTS ever you'll like this. I'd urge everyone else to play a better game, like Warhammer 40k : Dawn of War 2 (plus its expansion which dropped last month.)
I'm boycotting Blizz due to a d2/bnet fiasco that I'd rather not talk about. I've always hated WoW, and even if they are the greatest thing since sliced bread, I'll be skipping SC2 and D3.
Just got into the Mac beta this weekend, and I played my first match tonight. Pretty good stuff so far. I don't mind at all it not being too different from the original. Why fix something that's not broken? Though some of the changes definitely threw me when I was playing as the Zerg.
The game performs a lot better than I expected on my integrated NVIDIA 9400M chip - even on medium SC2 looks quite good. I keep getting surprised by what that chip can handle. Sure, it ain't no high-tech stuff, but it has run the games I care for quite admirably.
