I'm just wondering why Deezy made a whole thread on how he's(?) leaving when here's a whole other thread based on announcing your leaving.

That’s true, if that really was Dezzy a veteran of the forum then they wouldn’t have made a noob mistake of creating a thread when there’s already a thread. Clearly what must have happened is he’s been taken and the kidnappers have left good bye notes so no one will notice he’s missing! :0

Truthfully I’ve been here a while and I didn’t notice there was a goodbye forum. I vote liberal so don’t really mind the topics but it seems quite a bit lately. I have a bigger issue with the you must say positive things all the time or you’re not a true fan vibe.

F. That sucks man. I understand why you are leaving. This site is taking a turn for the worse. A recent article with 300+ comments made me fully realize what's happening here. Hopefully, this is salvageable and we can get back our unbiased nintendo news back. Again, hate to see you leave

@1ofUs The news that's posted on this site isn't 'biased'. The articles people are getting up in arms about are the soapbox ones, which are just supposed to be one writer's opinion anyway.

I support the direction Nintendo Life is taking. I also support racists, misogynists and homophobes leaving because of it.

@Purgatorium I’m pretty sure Dezzy wasn’t racist, misogynist or homophobic. I vaguely remember Dezzy talking about how they were a mixed raced Chinese-African American trans in a polyamorous relationship with Jewish and Latina partners who spends their spare time working for a not for profit company that promotes equality in minority groups. It’s a shame they aren’t around nowadays to double check this though.

If just the sheer mention of certain groups of people riles people up that much then perhaps they’re the real snowflake here. It’s been great seeing people leave, I’ve been here for years and years now and it’s taken until recently for people to leave or be banned that have been quite literally racist and homophobic in comment sections, no hyperbole. We get all sorts of opinions in these comment sections, regardless of topic, but viewpoints that directly contradict with others’ dignity increasingly aren’t being accepted across the world and this site is no different. I went through my entire teenage years as a user of this site and so as a queer teen at really quite a vulnerable age, being exposed to comment sections in which regular users who I had interacted with were saying that people like me weren’t valid? That hurt deeply and I’d honestly say it was harmful at that age, so now I’m older I really would like to help create an environment that the younger ones now can actually feel comfortable in. Worryingly, I’ve seen younger ones here parroting the very tired tropes that were seen 5 or 6 years ago. The slightest bit of compassion and empathy has been spun to be seen as a bad thing now and that’s utterly abhorrent. If you can’t bring yourself to treat other humans with the slightest shred of dignity then quite frankly I’m happy to see you leave.

Attention. People do this for attention same on social media. I've left plenty of online forums and communities over the years and never felt the need to make a production about it either lol. Different strokes for different folks as the saying goes.

@redd214 Well I mean, they have been on this site for a long time, and maybe there seeing if they might want to stay depending on what the people say about it. just my thought tho.

@Snatcher No clue nor do I care for his intentions, was just pointing something out. Hope he finds a corner of the internet more aligned with his values, shouldn't be too hard at all..

It's really funny how people have to publicly proclaim the fact they're leaving instead of just...leaving

Like no offense to anyone getting tired or fatigued of such articles or editorials like the ones we've seen over the last few days since honestly I also get kind of worn out on seeing very similar content being posted in regards to things I follow since it becomes vapid after a while, but if you're gonna make a big stink about it instead of just doing what you claim to be doing then maybe you're making a bigger deal over this kind of stuff than there needs to be

I'd honestly just think it'd be better to mentally drown that kind of content out if you don't like it so much

If this is also being done out of spite for the people writing said article that's probably even more pathetic lol

@Snatcher You know who I really miss? Slowdive. He was a chill dude, but was pushed out off the site was three times, and I don't think he's coming back this time.

I also miss App, but he left for a legitimate reason.

@HotGoomba nah. He was Scottish, male and used to talk about fancying the OOT version of Impa back in the old days so he was probably straight.

@Snatcher yeah, Slowdive has deleted their account so you can’t even view their profile or see their old posts anymore. In some of the threads it looks like people are having back and forth conversations with Slowdive but as his posts are gone it looks like they are talking to an imaginary friend instead.
