I noticed the same thing about them here as well. Not interested in politics of any flavor with my games. They also seem to cater to everyone but the mentally ill. A much more marginalized group that receives more prejudice than all the others.
@PoliticallyIncorrect we have a feature that explores mental illness in games currently being worked on, as there have been some notable ones in recent years that we feel are worth highlighting.
@antdickens Good to know. My son is mentally ill. He has tried committing suicide twice in the past month. As an avid gamer himself, I think he is in desperate need of articles like that. You should also bring up games that turn the mentally ill into villians and such.
@PoliticallyIncorrect sorry to hear that, it must be difficult for all of you. I hadn't considered the villain angle and certainly makes sense. I'll pass on the idea to the authors, thanks.
It’s like, the mere mention of certain kinds and types of people can trigger such an abhorrent response. It’s honestly sad.
Though yeah we do have a thread for the goodbyes people think others want to hear. I would close this, but seeing how other moderators and staff members have posted here, I guess it’s not necessary.
@Eel I wouldn't say it was an abhorrent response. He was careful to note that he isn't even into hearing things that he supported politically either. After that, he even made sure he mentioned you, yourself in a sort of "thank you".
The main problem I have with this thread is that it's a repeat thread (and that it's kinda similar to another one I closed recently)
As you may be able to tell, I'm not exactly a fan of the whole "announcing I'm leaving" thing either, even when it's on the other thread. But, fair, that could be a me thing.
I do find it funny people need to make a post about how they are leaving forever but if they really want to leave they just should delete their account which also deletes their "I'm leaving" message too.
@Eel yeah it's basically just a show. this person claims to want his nintendo news to "politics free", when really its not even politics. There's been a handful of articles in the last year or two that mention inclusion or women or representation, which honestly is something most companies should do at bare minimum. this person at one point was arguing about how anti-racist policies are actually racist because they are harmful to white people........i promise they would not have put on a grand exit performance if there was an article about how representation is hurting video games
@Crockin Regardless of what the specific views are or are not it in a more simplistic way, they don’t believe in political stands but feel the need to make a political stand over this. It’s the 3rd page and no one has pointed out the oxymoron yet! ;p
