Topic: DSi or PSP Go?

Currently the only handheld I own is the Sega Nomad so I think it is time for an upgrade. I have been considering a DSi for awhile now but I'm very interested in the PSP Go when it is released, even with the $250 price tag. So which would you recommend?

DSi/Lite or original PSP. PSP Go is just not worth it, but the original PSP has a ton of great games you can buy at retail right now. DSi if you want the extras, but if not go for the Lite.

If there was a guarantee that all PSP UMDs would be available for download at launch, at reasonable prices, it'd be hard not to pick the PSP Go! (assuming you don't already own a PSP and UMDs....that's the boat I'm in)...the DSi just hasn't been much of an upgrade....although the DSi-only downloadable games have been decent, there's a lot less of a reason to upgrade, compared with the lightning-quick loading times of an all-digital improvement over the original PSP. The enemy of PSP games is their loading time. Neither one is a bad idea though--DS has so many unbelievable games, whereas the PSP's library is much more limited (but also awesome if you pick correctly...not like anyone has money for every game for every console anyway). I doubt that helped

I like my DSi, but I've been interested in the PSP. The PSP3000 has those ugly scan lines, which is a hardware issue, so I really want to see what the screen quality will be like for the Go. The 16GB built-in memory is a good thing to have (if not a necessity). Buying a memory card of that size for the standard PSP will still set you back $70-80 dollars even at the cheapest offers, unless you're willing to risk buying from individual sellers.

Then again, I already can see myself foregoing the PSP altogether and buying an iPod Touch.

went with the DSi and picked up New Super Mario Bros. and downloaded Asphalt 4: Elite Racing with my free points. Can anyone recommend any good games? My favorites are platformers, puzzles, & action RPG's. Am considering Kirby Superstar Ultra.

DSi...... PSP have barely any game releases last year and the year before wasn't much better. I would recommend DSi.

If you like kirby. go with canvas curse. I haven't played it, but it's supposed to be one of the best games on the ds.

If you like New Super Mario Bros. you should also buy The Legendary Starfy. That game is plain awesome.

I rule when it comes to games. So deal with it.

May I suggest Henry Hatsworth in the Puzzling Adventure then? Quirky, unique, fun!

Other games that may be of interest which haven't been mentioned yet: Kirby Canvas Curse, Tetris DS - if you can find used copies of the latter - Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia, Puzzle Quest (unfortunately none of Infinite Interactive's other puzzle hybrids have been as good so far)

Go with PSP (not Go!) if you like emulation, you've got most cartridge based systems there aswell as the entire PS1 lineup... Otherwise it's a toss up between PSP or a DSlite... Depends on what games you want. If I were you I'd do some research on their libraries and then just pick the handheld with the most games that I want to play.
