We have one Nintendo Switch, and One Switch Lite, both are signed in with different MS accounts. My children (son aged 8; daughter aged 6) are in the same house, next to each other, connected via the same server, but when they click on Local Network it says “Your friends are not playing Minecraft right now” They are both autistic and now both melting down because they cannot play together. Help me. I’m now desperate. When they play Animal Crossing; Mario Kart; Roblox together they’re so happy. For autistic kids, these kinds of places are their go-to safe spaces. But this is even more the case on Minecraft, worlds that are theirs, that they create, feel in control of and feel safe in are vital for them. They had been playing Minecraft together on iPads, but since Christmas (when they each got a Switch/Switch Lite as presents) they’ve wanted to play Minecraft on their Switches. Can someone help....please! Seriously. Please help

@Chr1sR0berts You could be stuck for a few reasons, but maybe this can help get you going.

If you want to play minecraft multiplayer via Local Wireless (the Switch's bluetooth), wifi has to be turned-on on both consoles, and I believe you may need one copy of the game per console. You can watch the video below to see how they navigate the menus setting up a local wireless game. To turn wifi on/off, long-press the home button until a window opens on the right with "sleep mode, brightness, volume Airplane Mode on/off."

@Chr1sR0berts If you're trying to play Minecraft multiplayer via internet, that requires a Nintendo Switch Online subscription. Since you have two consoles you'll need two subscriptions = Family Plan.

Note: Some Nintendo brand games like Mario Kart, and free-to-play games (Fortnite), don't required NSO subscription for online play.

Hey both, thanks for the tips. I’ll try both and see what happens. It’s so incredibly frustrating for them (and me) Thanks again. If it doesn’t work, I’ll be back (sorry) for more guidance but thanks for taking the time to reply and help
