@CrazedCavalier Got a source for that? Cause it makes more sense to 'remaster' the Wii version and add the features the 3DS version introduced, than to port and downgrade the Wii version to 3DS and then uprez and port the game back to Wii U.
3U is originally a 3DS game, the Wii U version is a hD port of the 3DS. 3U itself is an expansion of Tri, updated graphics, Portable 3rd content, as well as two new monsters and a handful of subspecies.

Keep it PG-13-ish.
@Joeynator3000 I didn't know he had a unique theme until years after the fact because the one time I fought him I had to have the volume off.
They need to bring him and the theme back.

Tri was such a fantastic game. Whenever a monster collapsed in standing water it would always kick up this huge splash that punctuated a blow or conclusion to a fight very well. It also made probably the best trailer in the series so far:

Well the grip seemed ok, might see how that feels when MHXX releases a demo.
...Which reminds me, I need to make a Japan account at some point.
I completely forgot about the region free thing, not used to it. xD
So, if no one I know plays video games, will MH be enjoyable for me? I've heard it puts a lot of stock on multiplayer, but I doubt I'll have people to play with, so only single player mode for me.
@Joeynator3000 You don't need to make a Japanese account, you just need to switch your system's home country — not language — to Japan.
@Luna_110 You can do every single quest in singleplayer. It'll be harder, especially if you turn off the Felynes that act as stand-in players, but it's a great way to learn Monster Hunter. XX is an especially helpful release for learning because Barroth is in it. In my opinion he is the best monster to teach you how to play, especially if you've never played a 3D game with dodge rolling before. Also, you can join a room online specific to a particular kind of quest fairly easily and hunt with four player coop — the community is decent as online multiplayer goes.
@Luna_110 Most things are manageable solo, even the ''hub'' monsters scaled for multiplayer, if you have the proper gear and experience. It will just take longer to defeat individual monsters, but you also get a lion's share of money (also scaled for splitting amongst hunters) to compensate. The only real trouble solo comes from endgame monsters, mostly due to time constraints.
Alone, a force. Together, a force of nature.

@DarthNocturnal I think it's probably best this way to keep the normies out. A digital purchase in any region, however, should count for every region. I shouldn't have to buy the game again to play in English and on western servers if I have already bought the Japanese version — just download the NA eShop file.
