Topic: Marvel's Midnight Suns

Awesome! X-Com is great so just adding Marvel to it sounds even greater. As long as it's not a cloud version this is a day one buy.

Also Magik one of my favourites from the X-Men makes it into the roster.

@NintendoByNature It's not a cloud port. They probably would've specified if it was by listing Switch seperately from the other platforms like Square did with Guardians

Really hope they end up revealing more characters actually associated with Midnight Sons in the comics later. The lack of Punisher, Morbius, Moon Knight and Elsa Bloodstone is pretty confusing

All of them including a deep cut like Elsa made into Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 so I’m expecting them to make into this game too.

I'm sorry but this game looks like a big Miss step, One the cards, OMG why the cards? I love Xcom and M+R Without them, Also. Is this a **** Dating sim? Bc It feels more like a dating sims then a Action game.

Also, from the look of the game play, it doesn't look like a Tactic RPG at all, It looks like you just Have to combo said People in a Way to win in one turn I mean come on?

Still, I think the game can do well, But They didn't need the Cards, People wanted Marvel Xcom, thats it!

Its also a little to early to tell for sure for me in my opinion, Bc we still got a ways to go before it comes out.

Yeah, although I don't think it'll be an arpg.... I was a bit put off when I heard it involved cards at all but random cards is the worst way to do that Unless they show quite a lot that reverses my opinion, I won't be getting this, after all

@BruceCM Cards are a Big turn off for me.

@BruceCM X-Com was never an action RPG though.

To be honest it being card based doesn't actually make much difference as you're just replacing skills with cards, instead of pressing shoot you're selecting the shoot card. It's not suddenly Magic The Gathering. lol

Also no loot box rubbish in the game besides some skins.

@jump Well seeing it in this light, Makes me pretty Happy, If its not just like, you know, cards, But its just another way to do another Attacks then sure I'm cool with it.

No, this isn't much like XCom, @jump .... It still seems to be turn based & not an arpg, though! & it isn't a proper 'dating' sim, since they said you can't DATE in it, lol

@BruceCM What do you mean it's not a dating game? Outrage! I wanted to breed my waifus to get a litter of Wolverine and Magik kid soldiers, if that's not in it then what's the point of the game? ;p

So no Switch logo on the last few trailers as well as having no mention in the recent Direct...they've killed off the Switch version haven't they?

@jump I think they're going to do everything they can to make it work. Civilization on the Switch has moved a lot of units and opened a lot of doors. They will want this to be on Switch. It does look like it won't be out until later.

@Eagly That's a BIG statement to make.

General consensus would tend to be Spider Man, then you've got the ever popular Wolverine and Daredevil has probably the best collections of stories in Marvel as well as loads of other characters with strong arguments like Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, Thor etc and some more cult favourites like Blade, The Punisher, Silver Surfer, Thanos etc.

Personally I'd throw Emma Frost's name into the mix as I like how much of a beeyotch she is whilst also moving the X-Men away from the tiresome everything is about Cyclops and Jean Gray and their various time displaced variants/clones/children.
