Topic: just bought a switch

But there is no sound coming from the system.. docked nor undocked, is it broken and should I return it?
The sound is turned up to max btw , I dont know what else to try

@dferrit ...you've tried testing the sound with a game, right?

If there really is no sound when it's undocked, then, yes, it's broken, and you should return it ASAP.

I gave up.. put it back in the box will return it tomorrow.

Ya I would return it too , that doesn't sound like its working for you to have no sound

If you haven't taken back, I would've given the weird suggestion of plugging and unplugging headphones in. I had an issue with an older system where there was no sound, and doing this fixed that.

I've tried headphones, sound works but when I unplug them the sound still doesn't work..

Never mind then, yeah I think it was an old glitch where the system still thinks headphones are plugged in.
