Hello all, a new Switch dad here. I bought it for my 2 boys. I bought a few digital games using my email address, registered on the Nintendo website. The console currently has 4 users - me (with my registered email), my 2 boys and my wife. We just play coop with the single switch connected to the TV (using it as a traditional console).
I am trying to setup Switch Online with the expansion pack for my kids and have a few questions.My friend and I are planning to get the Switch online expansion pack and split the cost and here comes my confusion.
If I use my email address to get the expansion pack and get added to the family membership, then can the other users on the switch (my kids) get to play the expansion games? i.e., can we all play coop games that comes with the expansion pack? Or, do they have to be added to the family pack? If that is the case, how to do that? My kids' account are just locally created users on the switch and not with an email address - hope this makes sense. Do they have to create Nintendo accounts with an email address?
Also, are there good couch coop games on the expansion pack that makes it worth it for our scenario? Thank you so much!!
I'm not sure of the specifics, or how soon you'll get your answers here, but I will say, I've used Nintendo Support (US) several times in the past 5 years, and have been pretty pleased. They have a phone line and a chat messenger.
