Topic: Digital Download was downloaded to the wrong account

My son was so excited to download his Mario Cart 8 Deluxe to his new Switch, he accidentally downloaded it to his cousin's account instead of his own. He tells me that he can't retrieve this game because it isn't his account.
(He had set up an account for his younger cousin because his cousin didn't have an email account at the time). Is there any way to retrieve this game back or have access to it to play on his own switch? Thanks in advance!

Hey there @sweendogg1070 , since you just made the purchase, Nintendo Support might be able to cancel the purchase put on your cousin's account. But, know that the Switch system is designed so people cannot give digitally downloaded games to someone else. Nintendo of America's support line 1(800)-255-3700 does have some abilities to manage aspects of your Nintendo account. They are some nice people. So, ask if there's a way they can help you. It's easy to get a person on the line, and they are Seattle WA time zone.

On a positive side note, you CAN share physical game cartridges, but the game is only playable when it's inserted into the console.
