Just out of curiosity: Did you guys ever experience oily game-carts? And how is that possible? In the beginning I had one or 2 games that leaked oily goop. Especially Super Smash bros. When I took the cart out there was some black goop on it. Same with the other game. After a short while both games stopped leaking and I never found that goop again. I really wonder what happened and if this was bad for my Switch or my health.
@Henmii That doesn't sound pleasant. I've never had that happen with any of my cartridge-based consoles. I just checked my Mario Kart 8 Deluxe game card and it looks A-OK, and I put over 200 hours into it. Maybe they were on for too long at some point? Just my guess.
I keep my Switch in a plastic bag, the bag it came in. As I said in another article, my Switch-screws also have some weird corrosion. Not red or brown, but some white, salt like powder. Maybe its all connected?
Other then that my Switch works fine (only joycon-drift, but everyone has that). And as I said I never did experience the goop again, only in the beginning.
