They are holding now a sale that if you buy or own one of their games (for example the Coloring Book which is Free) many of their games will then be on sale for $0.17!!
This is crazy!
I guess Nintendo didn't put the limit on the "if you own X, you get discount on Y" sales.
I may be wrong, but I don't think it's true that publishers are restricted from doing things like this, I think it's just that if you do promotions like this, the games are ineligible for the charts, which is pretty much the only incentive there is to make games that cheap. So maybe this is just purely for customer loyalty. Or maybe Eel is right and they just already had this lined up.
There is another publisher - I think it is Drageus Games or something like that - who has a similar ongoing promotion. I bought one game from them for $2, and then their entire library became $0.50 or cheaper. Many of the games are just like 9 cents or something like that.
