Topic: can't hack doors early in tutorial

Hi, I'm am a senior trying to figure out how play xcom2. in the tutorial none of the buttons works to have the character hack a locked entrance. I think it is a problem with the software or something. I read that other people had the same problem. any suggestions?

@PaulDF If nobody with the game answers, I can make an educated guess.

I'd say there are two possiblities.
1. Most likely, you're missing something: in which case you can watch a walkthrough or longplay of the game on youtube. Find & watch the mission you're on, and see how they do it. If you can't access something in a game, maybe you need a certain character, weapon, or tool to do certain things.

2. Less likely, worst case scenario: if it's a glitch, and an error with your game save file, you may have to replay the mission. Or even worse, forgive me for suggesting, on a very occasion, a corrupt save file can mean your only option is to start the game over. I'm not saying that's your problem, but every once in a while someone gets a corrupted save file. Turning the console/game off while it's saving progress can sometimes corrupt a file. Or sometimes it can happen inexplicably, at no fault of your own. This is a very rare chance occurance, but not impossible.

I've not encountered this problem before, but you can always start a new game and skip the tutorial mission if it repeatedly gives you problems.

Not going through the tutorial is a scary thought but I may have to do that ...thanks so much
