Topic: Can I re-download bundled electronic Mario Odyssey?

So in a terrible move, I got rid of my Switch a few months ago (was trying to ease the financial pain of owning too many consoles).

I have since come to my senses and will pick another one up (thankfully the price has been cut since).

My original Switch was the Mario Odyssey bundle which included the download code for the game. When I sold my Switch, I deactivated the eshop from the system and when I go into my Nintendo account online, it shows my prior purchases, including the redemption of the Odyssey and the transaction number.

I should be ok to re-download it on a new Switch, correct?

It should still be tied to your old account, so you should be able to redownload it on a new switch.

It will be disheartening to not see any of the 300 or so stars I had, but will give me the option of picking up and playing this wonderful game as I need!

I believe you'll have to move the account to natively be on the new Switch. But after that, I don't see any issues. Of course I could be wrong too.

You deactivated your old Switch? Then yes it's possible, just activate your old account on your new Switch. You do, however, lose your progress.

As long as you have deactivated your NNID from your old Switch, you should be able to activate your NNID on another console and retrieve your library.

The price hasn't come down....

At least locally I see most shops selling them for less than last year.

@Trajan I'm in Canada where it was just permanently slashed from $399 to $379.

?? I paid $420 or so, but that was with a Switch ($300), Zelda BotW ($60), and a 64 gig micro SD card (around 40).

What all are you getting that the price of the system jumps up by a hundred dollars base, and 79 dollars after the price drop?!

@FaeKnight We are blessed with the weaker Canadian dollar! Items are always a bit more here...cars, electronics etc.

Actually, 480 can is like 290 USD. So technically you guys have it $10 cheaper. Is the Switch not doing so well up there?

Huh, hadn't realized that. RESEARCH Plugging the numbers into a currency converter, looks like Canada ends up paying a bit more at base. Before taxes, it would otherwise have been ‪392.99‬ Canadian, from what I can determine.
