Topic: Auto Accelerate & Motion Controls

Other than MK8DX. Is anyone aware of any games that have motion steering and also have an auto accelerate feature. I have a wheel joycon attachment for my toddler son and he loves playing MK8 with its accessible control options. But looking out for other games.

Are you taking about racing games or just any kind of game that can have motion controls?

@KevTastic84 : None that I am aware of, sadly. MK8D is not only the gold standard with respect to kart racers, but it’s also the most accessible, so much so that virtually anybody can play.

Thanks @silly_g Yeh MK8 has been a godsend as a gateway game for him to play. I may try Cruis'n Blast as I really liked it in the arcade and maybe the next logical step for him.

@SmashBall35 yeh, sorry I meant Racing games really. Although any advice for Good games for really young kids is useful too.

Ok. You’re good. I’m not sure about any other racing games that have motion controls. There’s a Chocobo Racing coming out that’s like Mario kart. I’m not sure if it’s got motion controls but it’s worth checking out.

Super Mario bros u deluxe, super Mario 3D world, links awakening, animal crossing, Mario party, and Yoshi’s crafted world are some great family-friendly games too.

Asphalt 9, I've played this plenty of times with my Joy-Con steering wheel. It's a free-to-play game, so you can download it for free, because of that, the game has in-game purchases, so you might want to use parental controls to prevent accidental purchases (or play with your kid keeping an eye on him).

Auto accelerate should be in the game settings, the Switch version can be played with that or with buttons.
