My problem is listed in the thread title. I've disconnected all controllers and restarted, attempted to pair again. I either need some advice on how to fix it or a recommended controller with a decent D-pad that's suited for 8 and 16 bit games (Switch Online NES+ SNES, Mega Man X Collection, etc)
I didn't like Breath of the Wild, have I mentioned it yet today?
@NintendoByNature Yeah, it's feeling like more of a pain than it's worth. I'm thinking of maybe picking up a wired controller if I can find one with a decent D-pad. I wish my PS4 Hori Commander worked.

@Magitek_Knight it's wierd I can charge it for hours and I'll try to pair it and it just blinks miscellaneous colors. I'd say it works 50% of the time. That's my n30 pro at least. I can't recall of my m30 one has issues. I'd have to fiddle with it some more
@Magitek_Knight Forgive me if this sounds dumb, or you tried it, but have you tried pairing it while it's plugged in? I say that because, if I take my procon to my friends house, my procon wont pair with his Switch until I've connected it via usb. Once paired, you can unplug and use it wirelessly. I know you have an 8bitdo, but just making sure you've tried everything.
@WoomyNNYes I'll hit them up once I get home from work. In the meantime I was looking at a PowerA wired pad (which I could get today) or a Hori Pad wired for Switch, if anyone has a recommendation. Or, I could get an adapter for one of my Gamecube controllers, or I could shell out for a Pro or some of the NES Switch Online controllers (though that wouldn't help me on the SNES games or Mega Man X collection).
