Topic: Mario Wings to the Sky help

I bought Super Mario 64 DS about 3 months ago because of the 3DS's circle pad. I got to the Mario Wings to the Sky level, and after I enter it, there are no red blocks. They're there, but just see-through and I can't touch them. Could someone help me on how to unlock the red blocks, or is my game defective?

look up at the sun, it's sooo bright, it's sooo bright, look up and you'll see, you'll see flight, you'll see fliiight

you have to get enough stars to make a spot light appear on the sun in the center of the main room of the castle. When the spot light is there, focus the camera behind Mario and look up, above the sun on the floor to be transported to a special stage where you activate the wing cap.

And a tip to get the secret star in that level: To get all the red coins, immediately turn right when you appear in the stage and follow the spiral of coins downward.

I already have the coins, but all that's happening is a voice saying: Hey...Mario...

Thats also where you activate the red blocks.

If all say all you have is that voice, then you haven't even entered the level yet, so you can't say you've gotten all the coins... I was talking about the coins you see once you get in the level, not the ones by the stairs in the castle.

While standing in the sunlight, you have to press the X button to look closer and then look upwards into the light.

Stare at the sun in Peach's Castle (it will be glaring as soon as you enter the main hall) by pressing the X Button. From there, you will be warped into the sky with a Wing Cap on. Go to a platform in the center with a red switch. Ground Pound it. Now, every transparent red block will be solid. You can then get the Wing Cap!

I personally prefer having no cap at all...it makes everything more challenging. >:3
