My Wii U GamePad isn't charging. My dad said the battery is getting old and stuff.....any solutions?
Throw it in the bin. Buy a PS4. Profit.

Maybe you should try putting it on the cradle? If it doesn't charge then maybe you should let the battery drain completely. I might have had the same issue. The orange light didn't react when I put in the charger. Strangely though, a few days later the problem was gone and it would charge normally. Never had the problem again.

Mine makes my gamepad screen flicker and sometimes won't charge. It's more reliable on the cradle. I think it's the charger's cable breaking because it's stupidly thin.

Well my gamepad is mostly doing the samething
It keeps turning it self off every few seconds and i try to Turn it back on and nothing happened
so i had Unplugged the wii u For 5 seconds and i plugged it back in and it worked it happened while i was playing splatoon
