Ever since I was little, classic Looney Tunes shorts have always been on TV (whether it be on Cartoon Network or Nickelodeon), but I've never seen Disney do the same with classic Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, ect cartoons.
I was just wondering why Disney doesn't do this (I've never even seen a classic Disney short, now that I think about it). Also, outside of some sort of preschool programs, they don't make any new content with their classic characters either.
Thanks to Kingdom Hearts, I've really grown fond of the characters, which is why I brought it up (they did have a show called Disney's House of Mouse, with new cartoons, that I enjoyed, but that was around 10 years ago at least, and unfortunately short lived).
Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)
Actually, Looney Tunes was off TV for like, 10 years because of stupidly high costs on Cartoon Network and the WB didn't want to air it.
The latter is probably the same for Disney, teenage popstars/future drug addicts bring in superior ratings to old cartoons. You still got your DVD fix at the very least if you so desire.
This is a signature.
Link goes here now.
Screw you.
They used to have a show in the late 90s called The Ink and Paint Club that would play the old shorts, but I do wish they played them still. Considering it's Disney though, I think they would just rather sell them to you.
EDIT: I don't know how pricey they are today, but a few years back they sold Walt Disney Treasures DVDs that came in tin cases that had all the old cartoons grouped by character. I would definately recommend them if you can find them at a decent price.
They actually appear somewhat frequently during Disney Channel's programming, movie or not, but they've also been adding in shorts revolving around that one alligator character in that game they make for iOS too. Better than bombarding kids with even more advertising, I guess...
Somewhat off topic, but I'm actually kinda glad I don't have DirectTV (or any TV service) anymore, because there isn't anything good left to watch. You've got Phineas & Ferb and Spongebob (the older episodes though; the new ones suck) and that's about it.

As @ogo79 said, the SNS-RZ-USA is a prime giveaway that it's not a legit retail cart.

I'd start posting clips from that South Park episode about the Jonas Brothers (why do I remember their names?), but I don't think any are really appropriate for this thread.
