Topic: Why does Professor Layton look so much like a TV show and why don't they have one already?!

I mean really! We haven't had a video game based TV show in AGES! (And if we have I haven't heard of it, so don't make fun of me.)
Seriously, I think Professor Layton would make a good TV show. And it's about friggin' time we got a good VG based show!

Who of you agree with me?!
Let us start the great television revolution!!!!!!!
CHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My thought is this: no.
It wouldn't be the same without having to solve brain teasers. And Luke is darn annoying.

I'd have to agree with KidA
It's great the way it is at the moment, like an interactive cartoon, but it wouldnt make a very good non-interactive cartoon

Well, @Kid_A and KrazyKain: We'll find out how well it works non-interactive, because they're working on the first Layton movie right now. No idea why it's not a TV series, though.

I think it looks more like the award winning French animated film Belleville Rendezvous, myself.

As for games based on TV shows, I believe you're forgetting the Greys Anatomy game, silly! And what about Ready Steady Cook, out now in the UK, and the upcoming House M.D. and Mr T games.

Staying on the TV show / game subject, imagine a free roaming My Name Is Earl game, where you cross off list items (missions) in order to earn Karma points and freebies such as new cars etc. That would be excellent, and with Randy by your side, you could easily have drop-in drop-out co-op, and have the chance to find out what those list items were that never got crossed off before the series got cancelled.

Another good example would be a game of The Royle Family, where you have to sit down and watch in-game TV, and when it gets boring, lift up the Wii remote and press the A button as if you were watching it yourself as Jim Royle. Balance Board support is also available to ensure you keep your feet still whilst you're on the sofa.

You mean the Triplets of Bellville? Because there's an award winning french animated movie called the Triplets of Bellville that has a very similar visual style.

Speaking of Kirby, which one came first the game or the show?

I think the games came first and then the television show. However, I agree that an Professor Layton television show on Cartoon Network is long overdue.

@metakirbyknight: "Kirby of the Stars?" Haven't heard of that. I liked Kirby: Right Back At Ya, though.

@Dark Link: The game, by a margin of at least ten years.

Objection

I hope the movie makes it over. I'd also love to see an Ace Attorney animation.

There is also an animated Animal Crossing anime. So far it's a Japan exclusive at the moment, yet as we know that Animal Crossing has been a large success here in the United States we just might get the movie at a later date. I'd also like to see an animated Animal Crossing TV show along with Animal Crossing manga.

@NuevoVida: I'd forgotten all about that! Still sounds kinda crazy to me, but who knows? It just...might...WORK!

You're right Luke is annoying.
But, what if they had a thing online where you could help Layton solve puzzles for the next show, or something like that?
