Topic: What's good about NS?

I'd like to make a survey among Nintendo Switch console users. I'm going to purchase a device though have some doubts and need some clarification. I've read some feedback on best console options [removed] and personally, NS is the most eye-catching to me, however, I have no experience in console gaming. I just want to know pros and cons of the model directly from its users.
THNX in advance

@Meagan87 Hmm, depends what you want. If you're looking for a handheld device, it's really only the Switch or a 3DS, IMHO. The others are pretty much defunct, though they have good existing software available.

The 3DS is cheaper, and has an unparallelled software library. However, the Switch is the most powerful of all handheld consoles, and has the best long-term future. It also already has some of what are widely regarded as the best games of recent times (specifically Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey, with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe close behind), and the support of one of the most consistently excellent video game publishers in Nintendo. It's also nice that this is a handheld device you can plug into the TV and play on the big screen; the controls are excellent, with clever motion options incorporated in some games (eg gyro-aiming in Splatoon 2 and Zelda); and the hardware is designed to be played with friends, as every console ships with two controllers.

If you're intending to play only on the TV, that's a different question. I'd still recommend a Switch, for its versatility and unique games, but the PlayStation 4 has a bigger back catalogue and some equally good unique experiences.

Why get the switch? I'll tell you why! 1. Breath of the wild 2. Super Mario odyssey 3. Portability and it looks good portable and obviously the TV 4. 3rd party support so if you can't affored 60$ than you can buy cheeper but still good games. 5. Nintendo is the best and most creative video game company and always delivers on the switch!

Pros: it is a console conceived to be played both as a home console and as an handheld and the way it has been made is very effective. It offers unprecedented versatility and it is very easy and pleasant to use. It already has many great games from a lot of different genres and Nintendo games usually are very good, if you have ever tried any of them and liked them it's likely you won't be disappointed.

Cons:
There are three things I miss the most: 1) Virtual console: I want SuperNes, Megadrive and GameBoy games but we have only a few NeoGeo games for now. 2) Saved games backup: you can't keep backups of your saves, if the original file gets corrupted you just have to start over your game. 3) Multimedia player: I liked a lot to watch my photos on Wii before or after playing my favourite games and multimedia features are something that I dreamed of even before consoles actually had them (I even made some multimedia DVDs to use on my PS2 back then!) and I really want them in my consoles, but there's nothing like that on Switch for now.
Also despite the fact it already has many very good games, none of my all time favourite games has been ported to it yet. There are some Wii U ports on it but most of my favourite games are from consoles older than that (Mario Galaxy 1, Twilight princess, TES4 Oblivion just to name a few), I hope they will be ported eventually, at least some of them (unfortunately not all of them are so well known so it is even less likely that the less known will be ported)
