So, what do you guys think? Will it be bad, uniqe, or both? Personally, I don't care if it's completely horrible. It'll still be awesome to see two companies work together to create a game.

I don't know why Destructoid makes a big deal about it, saying it's "insane." I'm sure it's very difficult, yes, but "insane" is a stretch when independent developers do this all the time. There are a lot of really good games that come out of these things, too. Can't wait to see it and hopefully play it.

Well, there are basically two reasons why I decided to post this:
#1. Gaijin Games has only made Wii games, meaning we have a high chance of seeing it on WiiWare.
#2. The game is being made in one day. While technically it won't since the idea brainstorming part of the game is considered the process of making the game, that's still a very tough self challenge. That's even more tough than programing a game for the Ludum Dare competition, the two day competition where one person has to make a game with an already chosen theme.

I don't know why you're defending the fact that you shared the news. I was only questioning Destructoid's reaction to the news.
But no, there is a slim chance we'll see this on WiiWare. You don't design console games in a day. It's a lot simpler to make for PC. Sure, they could port it over after, but that never happens.
And like I said.... I never implied it isn't a tough challenge, but it's done all the time, so it's not "insane" as the article calls it. I just thought that was overboard. I'm familiar with Ludum Dare (Broken Cave Robot from the last one is awesome), but that is just one example. There are a lot of other competitions that are just 24 hours. Cactus makes most of his games this way, actually, and even made one in I think 10 minutes once for a presentation... not that it was likely any good.
By the way, here is Zyrx. It's a neat little Flash game. I can see this guy working well with Gaijin Games. It'll be great to finally see what Gaijin would do outside of the Bit Trip series.

Oh, I thought the first comment was directed towards me. Sorry? Anyways the flash game is dull but fun. It'll be interesting to see the two different styles of the companies, dull-but-fun and musical trippyness (if you will), come together in one game.

Sounds like a freakin' awesome idea to me. It's publicity, and all publicity is good publicity. And if they can come up with something good, then it'll give them a great reputation.
Haha, no need to apologize. "Dull but fun" is an interesting description. I don't know that I'd go so far as to call it dull, but I see what you mean. Gaijin Game's much stronger sense of sound would really benefit a game like this, simple as it is.
@Adam What I probably mean is varietyless but fun (notice the word "probably". It shows that I know exactly what I'm doing. ). Also agreed with the benefiting the game thing.
