Six years later, I'd follow it up with a sequel console. But here's the twist; this time, it would have not 8, but 16 bits! How cool would that be! It would probably get released around 1991, and I would call it the "SNES".

Project Natal took thereof, but I was dreaming that you would be surrounded in some cube and the walls inside that cube presented the game. (Al I remember of the dream was Mona from WarioWare riding her moped as an image on the front. Then again, the dream was at least a year old.)
..."Twilight"? I'd rather read "My Immortal."

I would just rerelease the NES but make it easier to program for. Maybe add a mounted canon and tracking device to destroy all nearby 3D consoles automatically, too, for the user's convenience. Perhaps add a hard drive for downloading NES files, but is it really the same if you don't have to blow in it? I'm not sure. I'll pass it by R&D.

@Adam: It's BETTER if you don't have to blow in it! Also, I think there would be legal ramifications if you designed a console that destroys the buyer's other consoles. Besides which, I don't think you'd want one, since you have a Wii and PS3.

Take the wii, add better graphics, X-Box Live esque downloads, a sharper online community, and I'm happy.

I play more NES games on my Wii than anything else, and my Playstation has seen less and less use lately. If not for 3D Dot Game Heroes on the horizon, I don't know that Mod Nation Racers and the new Metal Gear would be enough to want to hold onto it. Plus, with new games coming out for the New NES, who would need these silly 3D systems and their silly motion controls and analog sticks? Psssh.
