I'm nervous for asking this, but how exactly do I do a Pokémon Nuzlocke? But now that I think about it, I have a feeling that I might not have the patience or time to do it. Do you guys have any tips for me in case I do end up doing it?

You give yourself specific rules to follow. Nuzlockes can have different rules, but all follow the 3 golden rules.

1) Must nickname all your Pokemon
2) Once a Pokemon faints, it "dies". You're not allowed to use revives, nor heal it at a Pokemon Center. It goes in the PC boxes asap.
3) You can only catch the first Pokemon you encounter in a route/cave/dungeon etc.

Other, non concrete rules include limited use of the Pokemon Center, banning healing items during battle, banning healing items completely, banning any grinding etc.

Some people also give themselves the extra chance of using any shiny pokemon they happen to find, even if it's not the first one on that route.

And on the other side of the spectrum there's also people who will literally release the pokemon once they faint.

It's really mostly up to you how complex you want it to be.

@PokemonGirl99 If you are still wondering on a good game to choose, I would suggest Pokemon HG/SS. Lot's of Pokemon options, they follow you around so you get more attached to them, and thus it rips your heart out more when they die to a random critical hit. lol

But also HG/SS have a lot of routes and areas for catching Pokemon. It's not just routes. Most people play that any new area you can catch something. So fishing in each town, catch something in every cave and forest too.
