Holy cow, I've never seen so much anime in a store before (it even has it's own section that's decorated with a picture of Goku, the main character from AoT, & someone else)!
They had Akira, Attack on Titan, Bleach, Cowboy Bebop (Series & Movie) DBZ (Battle of Gods & Resurrection F), the Girl Who Leapt Through Time, Ghost in the Shell (2015), Naruto, Pokémon, Tokyo Ghoul, and even Ranma 1/2! Oh, they also put the Avatar: the Last Airbender stuff there too, even though it's only influenced by anime. Probably some stuff I missed, too.
Let me know when they actually make a proper VR Gundam game. Imagine something like Gundam Side Story 0079: Rise From the Ashes with better graphics and VR compatibility. THAT would be cool.
@Joeynator3000 She's supposed to. I mainly love Mitsuishi Kotono's manic, rapid-fire performance. Even the English voice actress for Excel was having issues with the strain the role was putting on her throat.

@Joeynator3000 I actually have always preferred the dub of Azumanga Daioh, even in the old days when I was a "Japanese language only" snob. I love Osaka's adorable southern accent.
Also, Panty and Stocking is best with dubs.
Shimoneta is getting a dub soon. I expect it'll be hilarious if done right.
Tonight I finished up the Sorcerer Hunters (anime)! I watched it over the past 3 or 4 weeks (took a bit longer than usual due to the Olympic stuff I liked to watch).
Pretty decent fantasy adventure-comedy, which I liked a bit more than the Slayers first series (which I watched a couple months ago). Not sure if it's one I'll be itching to watch again, though.

I absolutely love the 2nd & 4th openings of Eureka 7.
I also like the first opening of Rurouni Kenshin, opening 2 of Bleach, and for something a little newer, the first (only?) opening of Gundam: Iron Blooded Orphans. Oh, of course, Funimation's first opening for Dragon Ball Z ("Rock the Dragon") can't be beat, either. I also want to say I liked the first opening to Ranma 1/2.
In terms of closings, I always got a kick out of how Evangelion's ending was "Fly me to the Moon".

I've blocked a lot of them out but Ayakashi: Samurai Horror Stories opener was particularly nauseating. Especially given how Chitose Hajime's authoritatively quivering vibrato single-handedly redeemed many of the awful episodes that weren't about the apothecary that would go on to star in his own series.
I'm just quoting this part to mention that I did read this and find it interesting, I just didn't have anything worthwhile to add to the topic. I don't usually pay attention to bad openings. Only ones that come to mind are "Hard Knock Days" that I recently had to put up with in One Piece (really, the autotune was the only thing that annoyed me. Otherwise it was just a generic pop song from a forgettable, flavor-of-the-month boy band), and Watamote's opening (throat-y screaming is not my thing, to put it lightly. HxH's first ending theme was pretty bad for that, too, if only because 20 seconds of it ruined an otherwise good song. At least in Watamote, the entire song was terrible even without the screaming, as was the show it opened for). "Rock the Dragon" is actually kind of enjoyable out of context, but it just feels so out of tune with everything else Dragon Ball Z that knowing it's supposed to be the opening theme to this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UObqk44eNJs
...it fills my stomach with bile every time I listen to it. Especially the vocal versions. Even as a kid I felt like it was a gut-punch to the audience every time I tried to watch it on any station besides Cartoon Network (Tom will always have my back ;_; )
It's one of the few blemishes on an otherwise exceptionally gifted composer's repertoire.
One wonders if Studio Bones pressured her back into the recording booth to overdub those incredibly unaffecting vocals.
I love Kanno, but hate where she was/must have been when she wrote that theme.
Don't make me bring back Dr. Cox, boy. I just listened to that song for the first time in my life, and I can honestly say that it was the most beautiful song I have ever heard. I then spent the rest of the night listeing to Wolf's Rain soundtrack, and it has brought new meaning to my existance. I have never seen this show before in my life, but I think it's going way up there on my anime cue now. The only bad song was track #13 - an insert song, which sounds like the singer was put on the spot about 15 seconds after reading the episode script (or more likely getting the gist from a translator).
Granted, "Stray" in particular feels very much like 70's/80's american rock music, like Kansas (the band) or America (the band), so I'll admit to having a more personal connection to the musical style. I'm almost offended you'd call those lyrics "in affectual" though. They're emotionally charged, clearly fit the theme of the series, and even the animation during the OP is clearly meant to reflect that. It's an excellent opening for a supernatural series with heavy personal themes. I can't think of a better definition of a "perfect opening theme" than that.
