Topic: 3ds What do you think about the features and quality of it

hello once again everybody by the way the next topic i will make will be in at least a week.

My comment is the graphics are good but they could leave out the 3d feature.

I could live without 3D. I haven't played anything too graphically amazing yet but then again graphics don't matter it's all about gameplay! Who needs graphics, they should just stop putting those in video games.

The social features of the 3DS suck. One of the real advantages the Vita has in my opinion is how social it is - Near is a far better geo-location tool, there's plenty of social networking apps, and PSN > Friends Codes.

On a hardware level, I hate those fragile, easy-to-break clicky L and R buttons. Again to compare to the Vita, the soft shoulder buttons are divine on that console.

But I do like the 3D. Games like Samurai Warriors and Dead or Alive really benefit from it.

Nintendo needs to ditch sucky L/R buttons. And friend codes. I mean c'mon.

You're right, exchanging 12 digit friend codes with someone else is much more handy than just entering in their username and sending a request.

The online infastructure could use work. Friend codes are annoying, and not being able to invite friends to games is a huge oversight.

The build quality isn't too hot either. The shoulder buttons aren't very good, the circle pad is slippery, and the bottom screen's ridges leave marks on the screen (and in my case, they are permanent). Also, the speakers were pretty poor.

I'm personally not too big a fan of 3D. The only game that sort of benefitted from it in my eyes was Mario 3D Land. For all other games it felt cool, but not really amazing, it was bad, or it lowered the frame rate (which is why I hated the 3D in Dead or Alive. Getting rid of the fluidity that makes DOA what it is is kind of useless.)

I do like Streetpass. It's simple and effective at what it does.

also, were you to 'mess with them' like that, Otaku, no one would add you. that's not really a problem for most of us here, but chances are you'd get bored of having no friends after a while, so i'd suggest doing so only at your own risk should we ever receive the option to do so at all.
