I've noticed on this particular site, YouTube embeds won't work on my iPad (I get a message saying flash is required.) However, on a bunch of other sites they work just fine. I'm just wondering if there's a way you guys can make them iPad-friendly.
I think Nlife might modify their embeds enough for them to technically not be a regular video. So In order for embeds to work I presume they would have to snatch their vids directly from youtube in their raw state.
Thats why I have an Android phone, thanks Google for bringing full on flash 10.1 to your phones!
I actually researched it a bit, and there's supposedly another embed code (using iframes) which enables HTML5 video playing if Flash isn't available. I'm guessing this is what people are using now.
We use a proprietary embed here for most videos, YouTube included, and I doubt that'll change; tbh this would likely be a lot of work on Ant's part for something that's not really a huge help to the majority of our readers. See what Ant says but don't expect them to change any time.
