I think it's because the dsi doesn't have enough processing power to support flash.. or something like that which is why the internet on it is so bad. :I

The DSi does not have the processer for flash, it is way too underpowered. The iPhone and iPod touch do not have flash, but they can view YouTube videos, because all YouTube videos are converted to MP4 for higher quality, and the iPhone just happens to play that format. As for the DSi playing MP4 videos, i'm not exactly sure. To be specific, The DSi has 16 MB of ram, and is overclocked to 133 MHz. To have the ABSOLUTE MINIMUM system requirements you need 128 MB of ram, and 600 MHz or above. It would be possible to have flash on an iPod touch, it has 256 MB Ram and is 833 MHz, it's just for some reason Steve Jobs doesn't like flash.
dsitube.webs.com was created by a charlatan who goes by the name iDSi. He has made lofty claims since the DSi's launch and yet has not yet provided even a single shred of evidence. He claims that he has a beta working, yet he has never made a video of it to show it working.
His previous work prior to "dsitube" was a "beta" website that consisted of a single animated GIF of Mario head-banging. In both sites, he stole code from DSiCade to make it happen. (He finally changed the "dsitube" code to the public information I published on DSiBrew only after I received half a billion emails asking when DSiCade was going to finish dsitube...)
DSiTube is a fraud. If anyone tells you they have a beta copy or you hear a "it will be out by this deadline", ask for proof. I guarantee you won't get any. It's all one big fraud and no one should believe it. I'm upset that he's managed to string along as many people as he has. If you ever meet the guy in person, do me a favor and hit him square in the jaw for me.
The only way it's possible for the DSi to play movies is if you download a video, convert it to a GIF and upload it in installments to a website then watch the GIFs on the DSi Browser. But if you've got the facilities and patience to do that then you might as well watch a movie on your computer.
Like people said. The DSi can't process flash. It doesn't have the processor or the RAM.
The Iphone/touch CAN process flash, but Apple refuses to let an flash player on their devices because it'll eat into their Itunes profits when people can just log on Safari and watch Hulu or whatever.
The DSi DOES have enough power to be able to play movie formats, I'm sure a low res 320x240 m4p or similar format would easily play on the DSi. Nintendo just chooses not to.
A regular DS can handle both Flash (a really old version, without sound) and XVID (it's almost the same as MP4) - it's against the rules here to tell you how, so find it for yourselves -, so I don't think it would be a problem for DSi if there were standalone apps that played both formats BUT a web browser with Flash would be an overkill for the handheld because of the technical limitations (even GIF animations lag on the DSi Browser).

if they do youtube it wont be on the dsi browser it would be a seperate app that you could buy from the dsi shop just like the iphones one.....
